How do I make a thumbnail with AI?
Open Thumbnail Agent, describe your video and generate. Tag a saved person with @name, tag reference images with #name, and pick a style if you want a specific look. You can get up to 4 thumbnails from a single prompt.
Can I put my own face in the thumbnail?
Yes. Save a person with a few photos, then mention them with @name in your prompt. You can include up to 2 people in the same thumbnail and describe where each one should appear.
Can I use a YouTube video as a reference?
Yes. Paste a YouTube link into the prompt and the video thumbnail is added as a #YouTube reference. You can also attach or paste your own images, or reuse any of your results as a reference.
Which sizes can I create?
16:9 for regular YouTube videos and 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Choose the format before you generate.
Can I create my own style?
Yes. Add up to 5 reference thumbnails, give the style a name and select it again whenever you need it. Custom styles are saved in the browser where you created them.
How many thumbnails can I generate at once?
Up to 4 per prompt. You also do not have to wait: keep sending new prompts while the earlier ones are still generating.
What can I do after generating?
Download the image, use it as the reference for a new version, or send it to Upscaler, Relight, Skin Enhancer or Video. For a layered PSD, open the image in Layers Studio.
Can I generate a thumbnail in layers?
Layered generation is coming soon. You will be able to choose a thumbnail with separate, editable layers, so you can refine individual elements after generation. Today, you can open a generated image in Layers Studio to work on it and export a layered PSD.
Do I need a paid plan?
Yes. Thumbnail Agent is part of the Adventure AI plans, and each thumbnail uses credits from your balance. Check Pricing to see what each plan includes.
